Fire incident: domestic goods reduced to ashes

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) Domestic goods of a house in Muslim Town area of the city were reduced to ashes as fire erupted in a storeroom of the house.

Official sources in the Punjab Emergency Service said that their control room received phone call on helpline that a fire broke out in the storeroom on the upper floor of a residential house due to short-circuiting, adding that soon after receiving information, fire tender and rescuers were dispatched to the scene.

“Essential household items stored in the room, including chairs, charpoys, and clothing, were damaged by the fire,” they said, adding however, due to the timely response of the rescue team, the fire was brought under control before it could spread further.

All residents of the house were asleep on the ground floor at the time and remained safe, they concluded.
