Fire erupts at power loom factory

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) A fire broke out at a cloth-manufacturing power loom factory near Pathanon Wali Taal on TB Road, close to 14 Number Chowk, prompting an immediate response from Rescue 1122.

According to Rescue officials, the emergency call was received at the Rescue 1122 Control Room, after which fire-fighting teams were promptly dispatched to the scene.

Eyewitnesses at the site reported that the blaze erupted in raw material stored inside the power loom factory due to a short circuit.

The factory, spread over approximately three marlas, housed four power loom machines at the time of the incident.

Rescue 1122 firefighters initiated fire-fighting operations without delay and managed to bring the fire completely under control within minutes, preventing further spread and potential damage to nearby properties.

Authorities confirmed that the rescue operation has been successfully completed. No casualties have been reported so far, and further assessment of losses was underway.
