BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) A fire which erupted in a government-owned forest located in suburb of the city, has been brought under control with hectic efforts of several hours.
The Punjab Emergency Service, (Rescue-1122) said that their control room received information that fire had erupted in government-owned forest locally called “Zakheera” located in suburb of the city.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>“Fire broke out in the stored fodder/stockpile due to unknown reasons that spread over two acres of land,” they said, adding that the location of the fire was inaccessible to fire vehicles.
Rescue personnel managed to bring the blaze under control using beaters and manual fire fighting methods, they concluded, adding that fire was spread over area of approximately two acres of land. No loss of life was reported.
