Fight against terrorism collective responsibility: RPO

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Syed Ashfaq Anwar on Wednesday said that the fight against terrorism is a collective responsibility of the entire society.

He stated this during a meeting with members of the Wana Press Club held here at his office. The meeting was held to discuss regional security, counterterrorism challenges, and public issues.

The detailed discussions were held on the prevailing security situation, the challenges posed by terrorism, and the role of community cooperation in maintaining lasting peace.

RPO Anwar reaffirmed that the police force remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism and ensuring the protection of citizens, adding that every possible step is being taken to provide a safe and peaceful environment across the region.

He emphasized that the fight against terrorism is not solely the responsibility of law enforcement agencies but a collective duty of the entire society. He noted that sustainable peace can only be achieved through close coordination and mutual trust among law enforcement, local elders, and the community.

The RPO further stated that the police are taking all possible measures to provide a safe and peaceful environment for residents.
