ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) The National Central Bureau (NCB) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) working with Interpol has achieved significant results in 2025 by securing the return of dozens of wanted individuals and facilitating the repatriation of missing children.
According to officials, the FIA’s NCB Interpol successfully extradited 81 fugitives from different countries during the year. These individuals were wanted by Pakistani authorities in various criminal cases and were handed over to the concerned Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) upon their return to Pakistan.
In addition to the extraditions, 12 suspects against whom Interpol Red Notices had been issued at the request of Pakistani law enforcement agencies were intercepted at Pakistani airports. The individuals were detained upon arrival and handed over to the relevant authorities for legal proceedings.
Officials also reported progress in humanitarian cases. Through Interpol Yellow Notices, the FIA facilitated the repatriation of three missing minors to Pakistan, ensuring their safe return to their families.
The achievements highlight the FIA’s continued cooperation with international law enforcement partners and its commitment to strengthening cross-border crime control.
Authorities stated that the successes reflect Pakistan’s growing engagement with global policing networks and the FIA’s efforts to ensure the rule of law and public safety through effective international coordination.
The FIA urged citizens to report crimes and seek assistance through its helpline 1991 or via email at [email protected]
