ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Islamabad foiled a suspected human trafficking attempt and offloaded a woman passenger during timely action at Islamabad International Airport.
An official told APP on Tuesday that passenger Sheeza Fatima, daughter of Tariq Mehmood, travelling to Thailand through Thai Airways flight TG-350, was referred for secondary profiling at the immigration counter on May 25, 2026.
During interrogation and scrutiny of travel documents, the official said it surfaced that the woman was allegedly being trafficked abroad by accused Naeem Irshad Gill.
The victim reportedly disclosed during initial questioning that the same accused had earlier attempted to send her abroad from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore on May 24, 2026.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>According to preliminary findings, the accused appeared to have links with a human trafficking network involved in illegal overseas movement of individuals.
The official further said a large number of electronic devices were also recovered from another passenger accompanying the case, indicating possible links with traffickers and smugglers.
Both passengers were offloaded and shifted to FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Islamabad for further legal action and registration of a case, while further investigation into the network was underway.
