FIA director inspects immigration process at Faisalabad Int'l Airport

Director FIA Faisalabad Zone Malik Sikandar Hayat paid a detailed visit to Faisalabad International Airport and inspected immigration counters in addition to reviewing the complete passenger processing system for international arrivals and departures

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Director FIA Faisalabad Zone Malik Sikandar Hayat paid a detailed visit to Faisalabad International Airport and inspected immigration counters in addition to reviewing the complete passenger processing system for international arrivals and departures.

According to FIA officials, the director met immigration staff and directed them to ensure strict compliance with laws and SOPs while facilitating travelers. He examined immigration counters and received a comprehensive briefing on procedures adopted during international departure and arrival of passengers.

He also held a meeting with the airport manager and discussed administrative matters related to operational efficiency and coordination.

He visited the check posts of Airports Security Force and inspected joint counters of Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and Pakistan Customs, where he was briefed about prevailing rules and procedures for passenger screening and scrutiny.

He reviewed the equipment used by immigration staff for verification of travel documents and examined the FIA’s Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) utilized for passenger processing.

He also interacted with the passengers and inquired about the facilities being provided under One-Window Operation at the airport.

He directed the immigration officials to ensure maximum facilitation for the passengers while strictly implementing all relevant laws and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). He also appreciated the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the immigration staff and commended them for effective discharge of their duties.
