PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) he Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) ACC Peshawar carried out a major operation that uncovered a network involved in producing fake Pakistani national identity cards and passports for Afghan nationals.
According to FIA officials, during the raid on a private hostel in the Taj Abad area, several Afghan citizens were arrested.
The FIA said that counterfeit Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), Pakistani passports, and Afghan documents were recovered during the operation.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>According to investigators, the suspects revealed that they had paid millions of rupees to agents in order to obtain the forged documents.
Officials said that the arrested individuals were using fake Pakistani identities to travel abroad.
An FIR has been registered, while efforts are underway to trace and arrest additional facilitators and agents linked to the network.
The FIA emphasized that operations against individuals involved in tampering with the national identity system will continue.
