FIA arrests two in visa fraud,trafficking case

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two suspects in an operation against human trafficking and visa fraud, officials said on Saturday.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrested suspects have been identified as Hafiz Muhammad Sajjad and Amir Khalil, who were detained from different areas of Lahore and Pakpattan.

The spokesperson said Hafiz Muhammad Sajjad allegedly defrauded a citizen by promising a Dubai work visa and receiving around Rs.

700,000.

The second suspect namely as Amir Khalil was allegedly running an illegal travel agency involved in visa fraud and human trafficking.

Officials said eight Pakistani passports and other travel documents were recovered from their possession during the raid.

The FIA has registered a case and launched further investigation to trace other members of the network.

The spokesperson added that action against elements involved in human trafficking was being further intensified.
