PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Saturday arrested 14 Afghan nationals allegedlly involved in attempting to acquire fraudulent Pakistani citizenship documents.
During the operation, FIA officials conducted raid at a hostel in Tajabad area here and uncovered an organized international scam network operating across Pakistan and Afghanistan.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Investigators revealed that suspects had paid agents between 2.5 and 2.8 million rupees each to secure counterfeit identity cards, which they intended to use to travel to Saudi Arabia.
In addition to fake identity cards, officials recovered counterfeit Pakistani passports from accused.
FIA is now conducting a thorough investigation into full scope of network, which includes examining potential complicity of officials within NADRA and various passport offices.
