He was addressing mandatory legal awareness and capacity-building sessions organized for Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers and Sub-Divisional Officers of Faisalabad First, Faisalabad Second, Sargodha, Mianwali, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh circles.

He said that Primary objective of these sessions was to further strengthen formal coordination between field officers and FESCO’s panel lawyers, ensure effective legal proceedings against electricity theft and formulate a well-structured strategy to enhance the success rate in courts.

During sessions, Barrister Taimoor Mateen Khan comprehensively covered critical legal aspects including strict legal action against power theft, administrative procedures, registration of FIRs, trial stages, collection of evidence and preparation of complex cases.

He said that strong and well-documented cases would not only withstand judicial scrutiny but also provide full support to prosecution in securing convictions against offenders.

Reiterating FESCO’s zero-tolerance policy against electricity theft, he affirmed that all legal requirements would be fulfilled to ensure transparent, robust and result-oriented actions.

The company remains committed to protecting national resources and defending the rights of honest consumers by curbing power pilferage in all operational circles, he added.
