FESCO arrests 15,registers 19 cases over electricity theft

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO), Sargodha Circle on Wednesday apprehended 15 individuals involved in power pilferage and registered 19 cases as part of its ongoing crackdown against electricity theft.

According to a FESCO spokesperson, task force teams carried out raids across various areas on the directives of the Superintendent Engineer to caught electricity thieves.

In the last 24 hours,one person was arrested in Sargodha City while three cases were registered in Shahpur.

In a separate action,five suspects were apprehended red-handed for allegedly stealing electricity through illegal connections and meter tampering.

FESCO said the crackdown against power theft would continue to ensure transparency and protect the integrity of the system.
