FESCO arrests 14 for electricity theft in crackdown

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) The Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) on Wednesday launched a crackdown against power theft,arresting 14 individuals involved in electricity pilferage from main lines and meter tampering.

According to officials,FESCO task force teams conducted raids in various areas of the district and caught the suspects red-handed while allegedly stealing electricity.

Those arrested were identified as Tanveer Khan,Hakeem Khan,Saqlain,Bakht Khan,Abdul Saboor,Waleed Khan,Hafizullah, Farzand Arain,Tariq,Jameel and others.

Police have registered cases against the accused, while further investigations was underway.

FESCO officials said the campaign against power theft would continue across the region to curb losses and ensure uninterrupted supply to lawful consumers.
