FDA removes encroachments from Kausar Abad

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jul, 2026) The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has intensified its campaign against illegal occupation of government land and demolished a hotel, warehouse, tandoor and other unauthorized structures from state land in Kausar Abad.

An FDA spokesman said here on Thursday that the action was carried out on the directions of Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry as part of the ongoing drive to reclaim government land in residential colonies and commercial markets under its administrative control.

He said that the enforcement operation was conducted in Main Bakra Mandi Road in Kausar Abad under the supervision of Director Estate Management-I Junaid Hassan Manj.

The enforcement team, led by Estate Officer Faran Hashmi and comprising Inspector Aslam Ansari and other officials, inspected the site and found that government land had been illegally occupied for the construction of a hotel, warehouse, tandoor and other unauthorized structures.

The enforcement team immediately launched an operation, demolishing all illegal constructions and taking into custody equipment and materials used for the encroachment.

They also removed the unlawfully established tandoor from the site, he added.

He said that a challan had been prepared against the encroacher and forwarded to the court of Special Judicial Magistrate for legal action. The accused were also warned that any future attempt to occupy government land or carry out illegal construction would result in the registration of a criminal case, he added.

Meanwhile, Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry said that illegal occupation of government land, plots and public properties would not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said that strict and indiscriminate legal action would continue against all encroachers without exception.

He said that anti-encroachment campaign would continue with full force to safeguard public assets and ensure the lawful use of government property.

He also urged the citizens to cooperate with FDA by reporting illegal occupations and unauthorized constructions so that national assets could be protected effectively.
