FDA directed to comply with court orders responsibly

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhary has directed FDA officers that all court orders in cases involving the Authority should be complied with responsibly and the FDA's position in every under trial case should be presented clearly, effectively and strictly in accordance with the law.

He emphasized that all relevant legal provisions, rules & regulations and government policies must be duly considered during court proceedings to ensure the effective protection of the Authority's interests.

He issued these directives during a meeting while hearing the viewpoint of one of the parties regarding implementation of a court order in a case.

Director Town Planning Asma Mohsin, Legal consultant Rana Saleem and other relevant officers were also present on the occasion.

Reviewing the laws, rules, regulations and policies relating to town planning, the Director General stated that providing timely relief to citizens within the legal framework is the Authority's responsibility.

“No applicant should face unnecessary delays or unjustified legal obstacles”, he added.

He further directed that wherever legal complications arise, every possible administrative and legal avenue should be explored to resolve the matter before it reaches the stage of court proceedings.

He said that transparency in public affairs, adherence to the rule of law and the citizen-friendly delivery of departmental services are the guiding principles of the FDA.

Therefore, all officers must discharge their professional responsibilities in accordance with the law while ensuring that merit, fairness, and transparency remain the foremost considerations in every case, he added.

FDA Director General also instructed officers to further strengthen inter-departmental coordination so that legal cases can be defended promptly and effectively, while ensuring the immediate resolution of citizens' legitimate issues.

Reaffirming his commitment to institutional reforms, he said that the FDA is implementing a modern command and control system aimed at providing citizens with maximum convenience, faster services and timely relief in accordance with legal requirements.
