Father arrested for assault on daughter

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) A father was arrested after his daughter accused him of subjecting her to repeated physical assault, police said on Wednesday.

According to police officials,Saima Bibi,a resident of 486/TDA, lodged an FIR at Chaubara Police Station against her father, Khadim Hussain.

In her complaint,she alleged that the accused had been physically assaulting her for the past several months.

Police said a case was registered and the suspect was taken into custody,while an inquiry into the incident was initiated.

Officials added that further legal action would be taken in light of the investigation findings.

Police reiterated that ensuring the protection of women and children from domestic violence remained among their priorities.
