MANSEHRA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Feb, 2026) The district administration Mansehra has carried out multiple operations aimed at protecting public health, ensuring fair prices, and safeguarding citizens from fraud.
Usman Ali Jadoon, Additional Deputy Commissioner, along with Faraz Qureshi, Assistant Commissioner Baffa Pakhal, took action against individuals involved in deceiving innocent women by writing fake applications in the name of ration and cash assistance schemes. During the operation at the Kutchery compound, several photocopy shops were sealed and their owners taken into custody.
The district administration clarified that no such ration or cash assistance scheme has been launched by the provincial government or the district administration, urging citizens to remain cautious and avoid falling victim to unverified offers.
Separately, Hasrat Khan, Assistant Commissioner Balakot, launched a special one-day campaign against the use of stale and repeatedly used cooking oil.
Inspections were conducted at various shops in Balakot city, where reused oil was found in violation of regulations.
A total of 12 kilograms of hazardous oil was confiscated and destroyed, and legal proceedings were initiated against those responsible.
In another development, Assistant Commissioner Baffa Pakhal Faraz Qureshi, accompanied by the District Food Controller and a representative of the Agriculture Department, visited the fruit and vegetable market in the early hours to monitor the auction process. Officials reviewed pricing mechanisms in detail to ensure compliance with official rate lists and to facilitate the availability of essential food items at reasonable prices for the public.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to continuing strict monitoring and enforcement to protect consumers rights and public health.
