Export of sport goods increases 14.89% to $357.911 mln

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The export of sport goods from the country witnessed an increase of 14.89 percent during the first ten months of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to the export of corresponding months of last year.

The country exported sport goods worth US$ 357.911 million during July-April (2025-26) as opposed to the export of US$ 311.514 million during July-April (2024-25), according to the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

Among the sports products, the exports of footballs rose by 19.92 percent, surging from US$ 185.202 million last year to US$ 221.867 million during the current year.

The gloves export, however decreased by 7.60 percent, declining from US$ 52.900 million last year to US$ 48.878 million during the current year, the PBS data revealed.

Likewise, the exports of all other sports goods surged by 18.44 percent to US$ 87.165 million from US$ 73.594 million last year.

Meanwhile, on a year-on-year basis, the sports goods export witnessed an increase of 33.38 percent in April 2026 as opposed to the export same month last year.

The sports goods exports in April 2026 were recorded at US$ 38.839 million against exports of US$ 29.119 million in April 2025.

During the month, the export of footballs and all other sport products witnessed an increase of 40.03 and 49.97 percent respectively. In addition the export of gloves decreased by 15.12 percent.

Meanwhile, on a month-on-month basis, the exports of sports goods also surged by 6.76 percent during April 2026, in contrast to the exports of US$ 36.381 million in March 2026, the PBS data revealed.
