Excise seizes 3kg ice, arrests four suspects in separate raids

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) The Excise Intelligence Squad Tuesday dealt a significant blow to narcotics trafficking, arresting four suspects including a female smuggler and seizing over 3 kilograms of "ice" (methamphetamine).

The operations were executed across several strategic locations in provincial capital. Near Pir Zakori Bridge, Excise officials apprehended a suspect identified as Sajid Afridi after recovering 670 grams of ice from his possession.

In a separate raid at Motorway Joint Check Post, a suspect named Muhammad Ibrahim was taken into custody with 540 grams of prohibited substance.

A third operation conducted on Service Road led to arrest of a female smuggler carrying 1,035 grams of ice, while a final raid at Motorway Joint Check Post resulted in arrest of Muhammad Imran, who was found with 900 grams of the drug.

In total, Excise Department recovered 3,145 grams of ice across these four actions. Formal cases have been registered against all four suspects under the relevant narcotics control laws.
