PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) The Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Alliance, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (EVAWG Alliance KP) on Monday expressed deep concern over the recent military strikes in Iran, reportedly resulted in civilian casualties, including women and children.

The organization said any escalation of armed conflict that endangers civilian populations raises serious concerns under international humanitarian law and the principles of the United Nations Charter, said a press release issued here.

Protection of civilians, particularly women and girls who disproportionately suffer during conflict, must remain a central priority in all military and political decisions, it added.

Violence and instability in the region not only threaten immediate lives but also create long-term risks for women and girls, including displacement, loss of livelihoods, reduced access to health services, and increased vulnerability to gender-based violence.

EVAWG Alliance KP stands in solidarity with affected communities and with peace advocates across the world who are calling for restraint, accountability, and urgent diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation. It reaffirms its commitment to justice, peace, and the protection of women and girls in all contexts of violence and conflict.
