EU-Pakistan Business Forum will take place on April 28 and 29 in Islamabad, bringing together European and Pakistani investors, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders

ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 15th, 2026) Pakistan and the European Union are set to take a major step towards strengthening economic cooperation, as a high-level business forum is scheduled to be held in the Federal capital later this month.

An official statement made it clear that the EU-Pakistan Business Forum will take place on April 28 and 29 in Islamabad, bringing together European and Pakistani investors, entrepreneurs and corporate leaders.

The statement highlighted that the European Union remains the world’s largest single market and one of Pakistan’s key export destinations. The forum aims to convert existing trade relations into stronger investment partnerships while supporting industrial growth in the country.

Discussions during the forum will focus on major sectors including agribusiness, digital innovation, fintech, green logistics, and textiles.

It was further noted that the EU’s Global Gateway initiative is expected to open up investment opportunities worth €400 billion, while over 300 European companies are already operating in Pakistan.

More than 600 business-to-business (B2B) meetings have been planned, alongside special sessions between investors and European financial institutions to facilitate direct engagement.

The forum is expected to help position Pakistan as a favourable destination for European investment and strengthen connections between private sectors on both sides.

The European Union also reiterated its commitment to a long-term economic partnership with Pakistan, expressing optimism that the initiative will further expand bilateral trade and investment links.
