Envoy with UAF team visits AARI to learn from each other’s experiences

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) International Ambassador for education of Sri Lanka from Rajarata University

Dr Chinthaka Karalliyadda along with University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) team

visited Ayub Agricultural Research Institute (AARI) Faisalabad in a move to learn from

each other’s experiences.

The UAF hosted his visit and the envoy along with UAF team comprising of Dr Aqeela Saghir

and Dr Muhammad Rafay Muzamil reached AARI Jhang Road where he called on Director

General AARI Dr Sajid-ur-Rahman and Director Agricultural (Extension) Dr Khalid Mahmood.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chinthaka Karalliyadda said that agricultural extension services

can be reinforced by establishing farmers’ connection with their heritage and modern tools

to improve sustainability at the grassroots level.

Later on, the delegate visited Exhibition Center AARI showing innovative and research activities

and visited Agricultural (Extension), Faisalabad division, Government of Punjab.

Director General AARI briefed about the organizational portfolio, scope, mission and vision.

Chin was impressed much to listen to the extension models of Punjab Pakistan.
