Encounter: Robbery suspect killed by accomplices' firing

DERA GHAZI KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) Police in Dera Ghazi Khan District conducted an operation against Sajid, also known as Sajad or Saji Chandia, a suspect wanted in multiple robbery and theft cases. During the encounter, Sajid was reportedly killed by gunfire from his own accomplices.

Sajid, a known criminal with a history of involvement in robberies and thefts—including incidents in Sakhi Sarwar—had long evaded law enforcement. Authorities confirmed that he had been active across various regions, participating in multiple criminal activities over time.

According to police reports, Sajid was engaged in suspicious activities along with his accomplices when a gunfire exchange occurred, resulting in his death.

Law enforcement has launched operations against his remaining associates and continues to conduct raids in the area.

The Dera Ghazi Khan District Police Officer (DPO) stated that the police will maintain uninterrupted operations to ensure the safety of citizens and that no leniency will be shown toward criminal elements.

Authorities have also urged residents to provide information about such criminals to help maintain peace and security in the district.
