Responding to a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Elon Musk said that AI could overtake human cognitive abilities within the next four to five years, citing the rapid pace of technological advancement in the field.
He said the accelerating development of AI systems would soon push them beyond human mental capabilities, fundamentally reshaping the future of society.
Musk also described artificial intelligence as one of the most significant innovations in human history, adding that it could play a major role in transforming economies, industries and daily life.
According to him, AI-driven machines are expected to enhance creativity, simplify production processes, and make goods and services more affordable and widely accessible.
He further suggested that humanoid robots and advanced intelligent systems would soon be capable of performing tasks currently carried out by humans, leading to greater automation across multiple sectors.
