Elimination of polio diseases duty of all of us: DC Qila Saifullah

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Qila Saifullah Sagar Kumar on Tuesday said that the eradication of polio is responsibility of all of us and parents would also have to play their role for the success of this national campaign.

He said this while officially inaugurating the anti-polio campaign in the district.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by district health officials, health department officers and members of polio teams.

District Health Officer Dr. Waheed-ur-Rehman and District Polio Officer were also present on the occasion.

Deputy Commissioner Sagar Kumar directed the polio teams to go door to door and ensure that every child up to the age of 5 years is given polio drops.

Dr. Waheed-ur-Rehman, while giving a briefing, said that during the campaign, designated teams have been deployed across the district and vaccination facilities will be provided to children in all union councils.

The District Polio Officer said that a strict monitoring system has been set up to monitor the campaign so that no child is deprived of the vaccine.

The administration has appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the polio teams and make their children safe from polio.
