Elaborate arrangements afoot for peaceful observance of Muharram

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Jun, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Shahab Ahmad Khan has underlined the need for taking tangible measures to ensure peaceful observance of Muharram-ul-Haram across the area.

He expressed these while chairing a meeting with officials of all line departments to review preparations for Muharram.

According to the administration,

during the meeting, discussions were held regarding security, sanitation, electricity supply, healthcare services, and other administrative arrangements for the holy month.

The Assistant Commissioner directed all concerned departments to complete their preparations well in time and ensure the implementation of all necessary measures to facilitate mourners.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order and providing uninterrupted civic services during Muharram.

He instructed the relevant officials to strengthen coordination among departments and remain vigilant to address any issues promptly.

The meeting reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to ensuring comprehensive arrangements and providing a peaceful and secure environment for mourners throughout Muharram-ul-Haram. APP/slm
