Eight Notorious Dacoits Surrender to Ghotki Police Amid Intensified “Nijat Mehran” Operation

Under the growing pressure of the ongoing “Nijat Mehran” operation, launched on the directives of the Sindh Government, eight hardened dacoits and kidnappers wanted in multiple high profile cases have surrendered to Ghotki Police on Wednesday

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) Under the growing pressure of the ongoing “Nijat Mehran” operation, launched on the directives of the Sindh Government, eight hardened dacoits and kidnappers wanted in multiple high profile cases have surrendered to Ghotki Police on Wednesday.

The surrender was made possible through the bold leadership and effective strategy of DIG Larkana/Sukkur Range, Nasir Aftab, who is commanding the operation jointly with Sukkur Range Police, Federal Civil Intelligence Agency, and Sindh Rangers. The operation has delivered a clear message to criminals in the riverine areas, surrender or face decisive action.

The eight surrendered criminals, identified as Moor alias Makhno son of Meharo Shar, Asghar son of Umar Shar, Nale Chango son of Makhno Shar, Mumtaz son of Sajan Shar, Latif son of Phalwan Shar, Badho son of Karim Khan Shar, Shah Bakhsh alias Shaban son of Jannan Shar, and Bhazar alias Bahadur son of Ghulam Muhammad alias Sadar Rind, were involved in a range of serious crimes including murder, terrorism, kidnapping for ransom, theft, dacoity, extortion, and armed encounters with police.

According to officials, the surrendered dacoits expressed remorse and announced their repentance from a life of crime, urging their accomplices to lay down arms and surrender to authorities.

Their criminal records have been attached, and further verification is underway. Police officials stated that the “Nijat Mehran” operation will continue until all criminal elements are eliminated and complete peace is restored in the kacha area.

DIG Sukkur, reaffirmed the commitment of law enforcement agencies to protect the lives and property of citizens, eradicate crime, and ensure lasting peace in the region.
