Eid crowds fill parks as facilities win public applause

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Mar, 2026) A large number of citizens thronged public parks during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, appreciating the improved arrangements and pleasant environment provided by the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA).

Families, children, and youth were seen visiting various parks across the city in significant numbers, turning them into lively recreational spots. Citizens expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness, security, and availability of facilities, terming the arrangements far better than previous occasions.

According to visitors, parks remained neat and well-maintained throughout the festive days, while security measures ensured a safe environment for families. Many people also highlighted that proper lighting at green belts and major chowks added to the beauty of the city, especially during evening hours.

Managing Director PHA Multan, Syed Waseem Hassan, said that officers and staff performed their duties with dedication and commitment during Eid-ul-Fitr. He stated that special attention was given to cleanliness and security arrangements in parks to facilitate the public.

He added that the staff remained present on duty round the clock to ensure timely provision of services, while teams also worked efficiently to maintain lighting at green belts and important intersections.

“I pay tribute to all employees who worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of citizens and provide them with quality recreational facilities during Eid,” he said.

He further said that the department is committed to maintaining such standards in the future as well, especially on important occasions, to provide maximum relief and comfort to the public.

Citizens also praised the efforts of the authority. Rashid Qureshi said that parks were well-managed and family-friendly, allowing people to enjoy Eid in a pleasant atmosphere. Salman Amjid appreciated the improved cleanliness and lighting arrangements, calling them a positive development for the city. Madeeha, a visitor at a local park, expressed satisfaction over the security and facilities, stating that families felt safe and comfortable during their outings.

The overwhelming public response and appreciation reflected the success of the arrangements, as parks remained a major attraction for Eid celebrations in Multan.
