Educational and health facilities blown up in Tank

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2026) The educational and healthcare facilities in the district of Tank have once again come under attack after militants targeted public institutions with explosives.

According to police reports on Monday, unknown miscreants blew up a Government middle school (Boys) and a Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Chesan Kach village, located within the jurisdiction of Saddar Police Station, late Sunday night.

Police said no casualties were reported in the incident; however, both buildings were destroyed in the blast.

Residents stated that this is not the first such incident in the area.

Several government schools and health centers have previously been targeted by militants, creating fear and concern among the local population.

Police confirmed that security forces reached the scene shortly after the attack, cordoned off the area, collected evidence and launched a search operation to trace those responsible.

The repeated targeting of educational and medical facilities has raised serious concerns about security and the impact on essential public services in the region.
