ECP completes delimitation training for village, neighbourhood councils in seven KP districts

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jul, 2026) Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has completed a one-day training programme for the committees and delimitation authorities constituted to carry out the delimitation of Village and Neighbourhood Councils in seven districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a press release issued by the Office of the Provincial Election Commissioner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the districts covered under the exercise include Khyber, Kurram, Mansehra, Malakand, Shangla, Upper Chitral and Bajaur.

The first phase of the training was held in Swat on July 25 for participants from Shangla, Malakand, Upper Chitral and Bajaur, with 13 officials attending the session.

The second phase was successfully completed in Peshawar for Khyber and Kurram districts, and in Mansehra for local officials.

The Director Training of the ECP, the Regional Election Commissioner Hazara, and the District Election Commissioners of Abbottabad and Haripur served as trainers during the programme.

Under the delimitation schedule, the preliminary lists of Village and Neighbourhood Councils will be prepared by August 28 and published on August 29, 2026.

Objections may be submitted before the designated Delimitation Authorities from August 31 to September 18, while decisions on the objections will be made by October 5.

The final delimitation lists, incorporating the decisions on objections, will be issued on October 17, 2026, the spokesperson for the Provincial Election Commissioner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said.
