E-bike scheme for teachers on cards

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The Punjab government has decided to launch an e-bike scheme to provide travel facilities to teachers, under which teachers will be provided with electric bikes on interest-free installments.

According to official sources, online applications for the CM Punjab e-bike teacher scheme will be launched soon, and teachers will be able to apply through the Punjab Teachers Foundation website.

CNIC, service certificate, driving license and passport-sized photograph have been made mandatory for applying, while it will also be necessary to download the verification slip after submitting the application.

Teachers will be informed through SMS or email when the verification is complete.

Under the scheme, the price of the e-bike will be around Rs 200,000 to Rs 250,000, on which the government will provide a subsidy of 30 to 40 percent, while the remaining amount will be paid by the teachers in easy installments of 2 to 3 years.

According to official sources, the monthly installment is expected to be Rs 3600 to Rs 4200, which will make it easier for teachers to get modern and low-cost travel facilities.
