DWFB releases over Rs49.6m for employees

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) The District Welfare Fund board (DWFB) approved 1,619 applications for educational scholarships, marriage grants and death grants and released funds amounting to over Rs49.617 million to provide financial relief to government employees and their families.

According to spokesman of local administration, educational scholarship grants worth Rs20.812 million were released against 1,008 applications while marriage grants amounting to Rs20.405 million were issued for 371 applications.

Similarly, death grants worth Rs8.4 million were approved for 240 applications submitted by families of deceased employees.

The approvals were granted during a meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Headquarters Dr Sarah Zainab here on Tuesday.
