DSP sent on three-day physical remand in fraud case

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) A local court on Monday granted three-day physical remand of police DSP Azhar Naveed Khan in a fraud case involving Rs 34 million.

The accused officer was produced before a duty magistrate, where police sought 10-day physical remand for further investigation.

The court, however, approved a three-day remand and directed investigators to produce the suspect again on March 18 after completion of the remand period.

According to police, a fraud case worth Rs 34 million was registered against Azhar Naveed Khan on the complaint of citizen Hussam Khan.

Defence-B police arrested the DSP after registering the case and launched further investigation.
