Drug supplier sentenced to nine years in narcotics case

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) A court has sentenced a drug supplier to nine years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs.80,000.0, in a narcotics case.

The convict, Arbaz, was arrested by Dhamyal Police in September 2024 after 1.520 kilogrammes of charas were recovered from his possession.

According to a police spokesperson, the conviction reflects the force’s commitment to effective policing and elimination of narcotics from society.

City Police Officer Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani appreciated the performance of the SSP Investigation and the investigation and legal teams for ensuring effective follow-up of the case, stating that all possible measures are being taken to eradicate the menace of drugs.
