Drug peddler held,10kg hashish recovered in Kahror Pacca

LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Lodhran Police claimed to have foiled a major narcotics smuggling bid by arresting an alleged drug peddler and recovering more than 10 kilogram of hashish during a raid in Kahroor Pacca,here on Monday.

According to police,the operation was conducted under the supervision of SHO Muhammad Raees after receiving a tip-off regarding the movement of narcotics in Mouza Wahand Sarmani.

Acting on the information, the police team raided the area and arrested the suspect,identified as Akram Jhabail,r/o Khairpur Tamewali.

Police said 10.6 kilogram of hashish concealed in a bag were recovered from the suspect’s possession.

A case has been registered while further investigations are under way to determine the suspect’s alleged links with an inter-district drug supply network.

District Police Officer(DPO),Ali Bin Tariq appreciated the performance of SHO Muhammad Raees and his team,saying the district police was continuing an indiscriminate crackdown against drug peddlers.

He reiterated that Lodhran Police was pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against narcotics and vowed to further intensify operations against drug traffickers.
