DUBAI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-March 16th, 2026) Flight operations at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates have begun to gradually resume after being temporarily suspended following a drone attack near the airport.

The reports suggested that several incoming and outgoing flights were halted after a drone strike occurred in the vicinity of the airport a day earlier, disrupting flight operations and causing delays.

Airport authorities have advised passengers to check the latest status of their flights with their respective airlines before travelling to the airport.

Sources said the incident also affected flights from Pakistan, with 53 additional flights from Pakistan to Dubai impacted due to the disruption. Moreover, around 100 flights from various Pakistani cities to Dubai and other middle Eastern destinations were cancelled today.

Meanwhile, officials stated that approximately 150 flights to Sharjah, Muscat, Saudi Arabia, and Abu Dhabi are operating as scheduled.

The authorities said efforts are ongoing to fully restore normal flight operations and minimise inconvenience for passengers.
