Driving licence test process reviewed to ensure transparency

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) The driving licence testing process was reviewed here on Wednesday to assess testing procedures, administrative arrangements and practical driving assessments, with authorities reiterating their commitment to transparency, merit and road safety in the issuance of driving licences.

The inspection was carried out by SP City Division, Muhammad Nauman on the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed. He was accompanied by In-charge Licence Branch Muhammad Imran during the visit.

On this occasion, the officers interacted with licence applicants, asking questions about driving skills and traffic rules, while educating them on the importance of safe driving and strict compliance with traffic regulations.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Muhammad Nauman directed the licence branch staff to ensure complete transparency and merit in the issuance of driving licences so that only competent and qualified drivers are granted licences. He emphasised that adherence to traffic laws is essential for protecting the lives and property of citizens and ensuring safer roads for all.
