DRC resolves long-standing property dispute in DIKhan

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Mar, 2026) The District Resolution Council (DRC), in coordination with Regional Police Officer Syed Ashfaq Anwar and District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed, amicably resolved a long-standing property dispute in the Zameerabad Muryali area.

The jury panel of the council, comprising Dr. Wasim Akbar Sheikh, Muhammad Shoaib Gangohi, and Dr. Abdullah Zafri, heard both parties in detail regarding a house dispute and decided to cancel the sale agreement between the parties.

According to the decision, the respondent Arifullah will return the advance payment of Rs530,000 to the complainant Rani Bibi, wife of Anees-ur-Rehman, within three months.

The rental agreement between the parties was also annulled, and the possession of the house will be handed back to the complainant after the payment is made.

Both parties accepted the decision willingly and expressed satisfaction over the peaceful resolution of the matter.

Dr. Wasim Akbar Sheikh said the District Resolution Council was playing an important role in resolving disputes through dialogue and mutual understanding, helping people avoid lengthy litigation while promoting harmony in society.
