Dr Kamran to supervise PEC body

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2026) Vice Chancellor, Islamia University Bahawalpur, Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran has been assigned task

to perform duties as Chairman of the task force formed by the Pakistan Engineering Council.

According to an official press release issued here by the IUB, “The Pakistan Engineering Council has formed

a national level task force under the chairmanship of Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran, Vice Chairman National

Technology Council and Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur.

It further said that the task was assigned to Dr Kamran regarding the integration of technology stream in the PEC regulatory framework, adding that the task force would review global technology trends and formulate recommendations for the implementation of education and qualifications that were compatible with them in the Pakistani technology environment.

It said that other members of the task force included vice chancellors and technology experts from various universities from all provinces.
