DPO visits check posts to review security

Kohat, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) , Shehbaz Elahi has conducted surprise visits to various check posts and security points across the city and suburban areas late at night to review

security arrangements.

During the inspection, the DPO met with police officers and personnel

deployed at different checkpoints, checked attendance, performance,

and vigilance measures.

He directed the police officials to discharge their duties with full responsibility and remain alert to any suspicious persons or vehicles.

Commending the dedication of police personnel performing night duties, Shehbaz Elahi emphasized that protection of citizens’ lives and property remained

the foremost priority of Kohat police.

He stressed that night patrols and checkpoints must be made more effective to curb

criminal activities and ensure peace in the district.

The DPO also listened to the concerns of police officials regarding duty challenges and assured them that all possible steps were being taken for their welfare.

Separately, Shehbaz Elahi chaired an important meeting with religious scholar to discuss the overall law and order situation.

The meeting focused on strengthening sectarian harmony, promoting mutual

understanding, and ensuring peace across the district.

The religious elders appreciated the police’s efforts for maintaining

security and pledged their full cooperation.

They highlighted that lasting peace could only be achieved through unity, tolerance, and

brotherhood.

Concluding the session, the DPO reiterated that police remained

active round-the-clock, utilizing all available resources to safeguard

public safety and maintain law and order.
