DPO visits Chamber of Commerce,reviews facilitation centers

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO),Akhtar Farooq on Saturday visited the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry,where he was received by the chamber president, office-bearers and trader representatives.

According to officials,the DPO inspected various sections of the chamber, including the Police Facilitation Center,Women Enclave and other service facilities established for public assistance and the business community.

On the occasion,the chamber president presented a commemorative shield to the visiting police chief.

Speaking to traders,DPO Akhtar Farooq said the business community plays a key role in strengthening the national economy,adding that the Gujrat police was utilizing all available resources to ensure protection of life and property of traders.

He said ensuring a safe and peaceful business environment remained among the top priorities of the district police and reaffirmed continued cooperation with the business community to address security-related concerns.

Traders welcomed the visit and expressed hope for further strengthening of coordination between law enforcement agencies and the business community to improve the overall law and order situation in the district.
