DPO Tank announces strict action against aerial firing ahead of Eid

TANK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Tank Abdul Samad Khan has warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone involved in aerial firing during Chand Raat, Eid-ul-Fitr, and other occasions.

In a statement, the DPO emphasized that aerial firing is a dangerous and unlawful act that can claim innocent lives, noting that bullets fired into the air inevitably return to the ground with potentially fatal consequences. He cautioned that no leniency would be shown to violators, and those found guilty would have to face the full force of the law.

Highlighting the risks associated with celebratory gunfire, Abdul Samad Khan said that such reckless behavior often turns moments of joy into tragedy, leaving families devastated.

He urged citizens to act responsibly, especially with Eid approaching, and avoid actions that could result in irreversible loss.

He further appealed to the public to play their part by neither engaging in aerial firing nor allowing others to do so, stressing the importance of collective efforts to ensure a safe and peaceful festive period.

Encouraging a more positive approach to celebrations, the DPO suggested that people should instead use their resources to support those in need, helping spread genuine happiness during Eid.
