DPO reaffirms police mandate to protect lives,property

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Capt. (retd) Dost Muhammad on Sunday said that the police department’s sole responsibility was the protection of lives and property of citizens.

He made these remarks while chairing a crime meeting at his office,according to a police press release.

All Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and Station House Officers (SHOs) attended the meeting.

The DPO reviewed the progress of cases pertaining to heinous crimes and directed officers to ensure merit and transparency in the handling of investigations and other policing matters.

He also warned of strict action against negligence, maintaining a zero-tolerance policy in this regard and said only dutiful officers would be allowed to hold their positions.
