Separately, DPO Shahbaz Ilahi held an open court (Khuli Kachehri) at Lachi Police Station to directly address public grievances. Residents raised concerns regarding water and electricity shortages, police staffing levels, FIR registrations, and rising incidents of theft on the Mandori–Mohsin Khel road, along with a proposal to divert heavy traffic away from Lachi bazaar.

The DPO directed that complaints related to other departments be forwarded to the relevant authorities and announced the provision of an additional police mobile unit to strengthen patrolling in Lachi. He also instructed the formation of village-level joint peace committees to enhance coordination between police and the community. Senior police officers including SP CTD Sadat Khan, DSP City Aijaz Khan, and other officials attended the session alongside local elders, who appreciated the initiative aimed at resolving public issues at the grassroots level.
