DPO Chiniot reviews security on main Muharram procession route

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Chiniot Dr. Naveed Atif, along with officers of the Pak Army, visited the main procession route of the city and reviewed the security arrangements made in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram.

During the visit, the officers met the organizers of the procession and discussed security, traffic and other administrative matters. Sensitive places, entry and exit routes, duty points set up on rooftops and other important security arrangements were also inspected.

DPO Dr. Naveed Atif praised the performance of the police personnel on duty and directed them to remain fully alert during their duty.

He said foolproof security arrangements are being ensured for all gatherings and processions during Muharram-ul-Haram, while all available resources will be utilized to maintain peace and order throughout the district.

He appealed to the citizens to respect each other’s beliefs and religious sentiments and to fully cooperate with the personnel deployed on security so that the days of Muharram-ul-Haram can be spent in a peaceful environment.
