CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif held an open court at the DPO office on Wednesday to hear public complaints and issue directives for their prompt resolution, in line with the public service vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

During the session, citizens presented various issues and applications before the DPO. Dr. Naveed Atif directed officials to immediately forward the applications to the relevant officers and ensure their responses within the stipulated time. He also instructed Complaint Cell officers to follow up on the cases and submit progress reports.

Speaking on the occasion, the DPO said the district police were taking practical measures to improve public service delivery in accordance with the chief minister’s vision. He added that modern technology was being introduced at police stations across the district to facilitate citizens and resolve their problems on a priority basis.

Field officers were directed to treat citizens with courtesy and resolve their issues without unnecessary delays. The DPO emphasized that mistreatment of citizens in police offices or stations would not be tolerated. He encouraged residents to approach his office directly if their problems were not addressed at police stations.

To further facilitate the public, the police have introduced a WhatsApp complaint service, allowing citizens to submit grievances from home at 0370-4022020. Dr. Naveed Atif also stressed that public cooperation is essential in combating crime and urged citizens to assist the police by reporting suspicious activities so that timely action can be taken against offenders.
