DPO Chiniot holds open court, orders prompt resolution of public complaints

CHINIOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) In line with the public service vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, practical steps are being taken to address citizens’ concerns across the district, said District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif while holding an open court at the DPO office in Chiniot on Monday.

During the session, the DPO listened to various public complaints and issued instructions to the concerned officers to properly mark the applications and ensure that responses are submitted within the prescribed time. He also directed officials of the police Complaint Cell to closely follow up on the applications and present detailed reports on their progress.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Naveed Atif said that under the leadership and vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif, all possible measures are being taken to improve public service delivery and facilitate citizens.

He added that modern technology is being introduced in police stations across the district to enhance efficiency and transparency, while public complaints are being resolved on a priority basis. Field officers have been instructed to treat citizens with respect, resolve their issues promptly, and avoid unnecessary delays, emphasizing that any disrespect or ridicule of citizens in police offices or stations will not be tolerated.
