DPO Attock reviews security arrangements for 21st Ramzan procession

ATTOCK, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Attock Sardar Mavarhan Khan on Tuesday visited the route of the main procession to be held on 21st Ramzan in connection with the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA). Meanwhile, SDPO Sadar Circle and SHO City accompanied the DPO during the visit to inspect the sensitive areas along the route and review the comprehensive security arrangements.

Furthermore, the DPO carefully examined the security measures put in place for the procession and issued clear directives to ensure foolproof protection for participants. In addition, he instructed the police officers to completely seal all streets and alleys adjoining the procession route to effectively prevent any untoward incident.

He also directed that mourners should only be allowed to join the procession after thoroughly undergoing body search and security screening through walk-through gates. Subsequently, the officers were asked to maintain strict monitoring at entry points to ensure the safety of participants and smooth movement during the procession.

On this occasion, the DPO emphasized the strategic deployment of police personnel along the entire route. Therefore, he directed the officers to fully utilize all available resources to maintain law and order and ensure a peaceful environment for citizens during the religious observance.
