DPO Abbottabad hosts Iftar dinner in honour of families of martyred police personnel

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Mar, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad Haroon Rashid Khan hosted an Iftar dinner in honuor of the families of martyred police personnel, paying tribute to their sacrifices and reaffirming the police department’s commitment to the welfare of the martyrs’ families.

A large number of family members of martyred police officials attended the Iftar gathering organized by Abbottabad Police. The event was also attended by Chairman Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) Lieutenant General (R) Ayaz Saleem Rana, SSP Traffic Muhammad Ishtiaq Khan, SP Cantt Ali Hamza Butt, SP Havelian Jameel-ur-Rehman, and SP Investigation Ayaz Mahmood, along with other police officers.

Addressing the participants, DPO Abbottabad Haroon Rashid Khan paid rich tribute to the great sacrifices of police martyrs, stating that the martyrs of the police force are a source of pride for the nation.

He emphasized that honoring and supporting their families is a collective responsibility.

He reiterated that the police department will continue to take all possible measures for the welfare and well-being of the families of martyrs and assured them that they will never be left alone.

During the event, gifts were also distributed among the families of the martyrs. The DPO and other senior officers met with the family members, listened to their concerns, and assured them of full support and cooperation.

The gathering aimed to remember the sacrifices of the police martyrs, provide moral support to their families, and express solidarity with them.
