DPM/FM Dar for enhancing transparency, education quality across medical, dentistry institutions

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday chaired a meeting on the recognition of Medical, Dentistry, and Alternative Medicine educational institutions.

The meeting reviewed existing regulatory frameworks and discussed measures to enhance transparency, standardization, and quality of education across medical educational institutions, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office Spokesperson.

DPM/FM emphasised on strengthening accreditation processes and ensuring alignment with international best practices.

It was agreed that the meeting will be reconvened next week to continue deliberations after recommendations from Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders.

The meeting was attended by the Federal Ministers of Climate Change and National Health and Regulations, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary National Health and Regulations, and other senior officials from the concerned ministries.
